    Week 10 - November 9-13, 2015 - Share thesis statements - help each other; create a graphic organizer for your essay using the model we've used before
    Homework - First draft of essay #1 due - two copies! Bring the red pens!

    Week 11 - November 16-20, 2015 - Peer editing of first draft of Essay #1
     
    Week 12 - November 23, 2015 - First essay due with all drafts; second essay assigned

    Weeks 14-18 - grammar groups and essay #2 - critical analysis paper on parenting or schools

    Week 20 (February 3-5) - Begin argument; brainstorming on visual argument (posters, bumper stickers,T-shirts, advertisements); find a picture of an advertisement and analyze the type of appeal
