What is Parent Connection?
Parent Connection is a parent organization formed to enhance our children's school experience by promoting goodwill and cooperation among the children, teachers, and parents. This organization, consisting of parents, teachers and school officials, also provides many extra programs and fund raising activities.
What is the difference between Parent Connection and PTA?
The PTA is a national organization with its own agendas and by-laws. Anyone belonging must pay national dues. Parent Connection is self-supporting and all money raised supports WACS students.
Why should I join?
The importance of family and community involvement in education is necessary to send children the message that their education is important. Any involvement, whether large or small, contributes to the growth of our children.
How do I join?
Joining is easy! Membership is only $10 per family or faculty member. A link to a printable membership form can be found at the bottom of this page.
When are the meetings held?
Parent Connection meetings are typically held monthly at the school in the LGI room or at the home of a Parent Connection member. We try to vary the meeting times, one month in the evening and one month in the morning, to accomodate work schedules. A notice is sent home in a newsletter as to when the date, time and location will be.

Book Fairs, Family Night, Red Ribbon Week, Teacher Appreciation, General Mills Box Top collection, RIF (Reading is Fundamental), PARP (Parents as Reading Partners), Elementary School newspaper, Parent Connection scholarship, Field Day, and Middle School English Department.
